Good, Cheap Italian - La Briciola
— Just feel like a hot bowl of pasta or pizza but with authentic Italian flavours? The team behind this new restaurants have three other popular restaurants (La Maddonina and Marie Luisa) but this one is a little more upmarket and more variety. Choose from a platter of charcuterie, pasta and salads and of course some fine Italian wine. Expect to pay less than 30 euros pp.
Located in the Marais district so you can stroll the galleries and shops before or after. Closed Sundays.

Chez Pierre au Palais-Royal
— Searching for a hip joint? Recently refurbished with lots of 'zebra' style chairs against stark white walls. Food remains good and a slash of creativity in traditional dishes such as ‘duck fois gras’ ‘gigot d’agneau’ and ‘filet de daurade with a tomatoe, lemon and ginger confit.
It's a small but adequate menu for two. Menu : Entre 25 et 50€ and same for mains or 33€ for a formula (entre+plate).

Bistrot Vivienne
— Located in the heart of the stock exchange district, this is is a great bistro serving quality wines by the glass.
Charming bench and wooden chair seating with a small but traditional bistro menu ‘Pot-au-feu’, ‘Confit de canard’ (leg of Duck roasted in its fat) and ‘Gourmand d’agneau’ (Lamb) or Pave de thon (Tuna). The menu is only in French as this place is popular with locals.

La Fontaine Gaillon
— We love his movies but will we love his restaurant? Gérard Depardieu and his chef friend, Laurent Audiot own two elegant bistro specialising in seafood but also regional dishes. Reasonable for the ambiance and quality of the food. Open Monday to Friday.
L'Ecaille de la Fontaine is just around the corner and is popular for its fine selection of rare Oysters. Open Monday to Thursday.

— For the very young at heart, this is a restaurant, nighclub and bar. Lots of sensual lighting and white stone floor, white lace curtains and very groovy looking staff. Very much for those looking to dance the night away.
