Paris Transport & Airport Information
Paris - Charles de Gaulle to city centre
— There are several options to arrive in the city centre:
Train: RER departs every 15-20 minutes. Lines B stops at Gare Du Nord and other stations around Paris can be accessed via Terminals 1 and 3.
TGV: High speed trains to destinations across. France easily accessed with all Terminals.

A map of the Paris Metro
— Below is a link for the map of the metro, you can pick up a booklet at any train station when you purchase tickets however just in case you need a spare. Click below. You do need to open in Adobe to print.

Taxi!
— Look for the illuminated 'Taxi' then hail. Head towards an intersection, train station or to a large hotel. I often find it hard to get a taxi in Paris, particularly late afternoon. Meters start at 2-3 euros. If you need to pay via credit card you may need to phone ahead as not all accept cards.
This site below might appeal to those who wish to book a Taxi from the airport with a child-seat equipped, as this is rare in Paris. They also have an English mobile number or email for reservation on 06 07 60 49 14
Another central number is 01 45 30 30 30

Bateau Parisien
— This looks touristy, and it is, but its a great way to see Paris, floating down the Seine and its can be quite reasonable from 10 euros or you can choose an evening meal or lunch for around 30+ euros pp.
You'll see all the highlights, the gargoyles at Notre Dame, the intricate ironwork of the Eiffel tower and of course the Place de la Concorde which you can later wonder around on foot. There are numerous companies. If you don't have time to book we'll do it for you, just email your requirements and tickets can be emailed direct or forwarded to your hotel.

Paris Orly Airport to city centre
— Unlike Charles de Gaulle, Orly is not directly connected to the RER.
The Orlyval automatic shuttle runs to Antony station on the RER line B. The Orlyval is free to use between the two Orly terminals (west and south) but costs to go any further. The journey from the RER to the airport takes about 8 minutes and from Antony into the centre is 25 minutes.
Alternatively, there is a shuttle bus connecting Orly Airport to RER line C at Pont De Rungis-Aeroport D’Orly. But you may struggle with your luggage. A different option is to catch one of the several bus services into Paris. These include ones run by Air France (Cars Air France) and the RATP Orlybus. Lastly, a taxi allow up to 50 euros.
Should you wish a private car we can book for you.
Paris - Beauvais Airport
— This airport serves Ryanair, Wizz Air & Blue Air, is accessible by city train from Paris with either a shuttle bus or taxi completing the journey.
Beauvais Airport is actually located in Tillé, 3.5km north east of Beauvais. There is no train station at the airport itself, unlike Aéroports Charles de Gaulle and Orly.
To get to Beauvais Airport from Paris, one can take a Ter train (Transport Express Régional) from Gare du Nord station in Paris to Beauvais city center for 12€, then complete the journey to Beauvais Airport by either shuttle bus (4€/person) or taxi.
Taxis charge a flat rate between the train station and airport of 11€ between the hours of 7am and 7pm, 15€ otherwise, for up to 4 passengers, baggage handling included. There is no city bus service between the two cities due to their small size.
Train Line = Ter Line 19 - Paris / Persan-Beaumont / Beauvais
Departure/Terminus Stations = Gare du Nord (Paris) / Beauvais Gare SNCF (Beauvais)
Travel Time = Train 69 to 74 minutes + shuttle or taxi (30 min. or 10 min.)
Price = Train to Beauvais city center 12€ + 4€ (Shuttle) or 11€ (Taxi) to Airport.

Planes, Traines and Automobiles
— After your long flight, your next step might be catching a high speed train (TGV) which I must say is extremely comfortable. This is the best way to see France and other European cities, 2 1/2 hours from Paris and you're in London.
You can book via the link below, be warned I find their site frustrating and often buy my tickets at the stations which (unless peak season) is not normally a problem. However, try it for the best price.
Other links for Paris to Brussels is www.thalys.com and French regional trains via www.sncf.com. Don't forget to 'compose' ie punch your ticket in the little yellow machines, otherwise they may fine you but a big smile might help if you're caught!
