Bistro Butte aux Cailles - 13th
— This restaurant is situated in the Chinatown district -- not exactly 'central Paris' but interesting if you're willing to travel a few more metro stops. The area is non-touristy and could be described as a real Parisian suburb with lots of Chinese and French restaurants serving quality and wholesome dishes. Expect dishes at the Butte aux Cailles like -- 'Cassoulet', 'Rognons puree' prices from 9.50 to 22.50 euros the most expensive 23 euros is their house special, 'filet de bœuf à la Périgourdine'.
Closed Saturday lunch and Sunday.

Pizza Delivery with Truffles - allow 24 hours notice - Al Taglio
— Pizza delivery is not big in Paris, you can find a few places but this one is one for your pizza connoisseurs. Fancy a pizza with potatoes and black truffles? Available for 50 euros for 8-10 people but they require notice. Also a great drop-in place for an authentic Italian pizza.

Le Café Lumière - Hôtel Scribe Paris
— Situated in the elegant Scribe Hotel and under a glass roof, this is the lovely place to enjoy a coffee and snack in very elegant surroundings. There's a library so if you're looking to relax and unwind this is a welcoming environment. They often run musical afternoons/evening so check with the hotel if you wish like to make an event out of your visit.

Le Chardenoux
— This wonderful 'Belle Epoque' restaurant, recently re-opened under the charge of celebrity Cyril Lignac.
The interiors are warm and quintessentially Parisian. While it is a little out of the way, the food and service is excellent. All shiny and new with 'old world' charm and not too big, under 40 covers inside and 20 on the terrace. The menu is as you would expect, traditional French; 'rillettes et du pain', 'bavette a l'echalot' but some deviations such as 'risotto et cepes'. Allow 25-55 euros pp.

Korean - Sobane
— Korean BBQ? Something different in Paris? This restaurant has a good reputation for quality Korean cuisine with reasonable prices, from 25 euros for two courses. Beautiful presentation and creativity of regular and popular dishes. Closed Sundays.

— Making quite an impact with his new restaurant. The chef, Christian Le Squer, formerly at Ledoyen was awarded 3 stars during his time there and diners at his new restaurants have, to date, media raves about the freshness and creativity of the food. Expect to pay upwards of €80 per person.

Le Grand Pan
— A cosy, relaxed bistro serving quality meals. The menu is very straight-forward. An entree of soup followed by a grill, chips and salad. Nothing pretentious but all very well executed. Good variety of wines by the glass of carafes are reasonable prices. This is one where locals head.

Le Bistro de la Muette
— This is a great choice is you want a fixed priced €36 for three courses. It includes your stable French classic dishes plus others such as 'Foie de veau', 'lobster ravioli', 'Roasted duck a la South-West France'. Frequented by a very 'fashionable' crowd, there's not been too many bad reports about this brasserie.
